WoW ! Trapped In Earth

With the few years I have lived here on earth I have come to the realization that man is a well planned complicated Machine built to remain in planet Earth. I will briefly highlight some major reasons why man is limited to earth alone, bellow. Just permit my words to sail through your minds and articulate your senses

The Gravity : This invisible force always tending to pull any object, animals, plants and even the tiniest spec including man to itself. This is to show that man is not built to leave the earth terrain because we are of it. But due to the highly sophisticated brain cells of man. He has been able to break the law of Gravity to an extent, hereby leaving earth to find out the reason man is being held bound by gravity here on earth. The reason is far fetched, other places besides earth are inhabitable for mankind. Leaving the shores of earth man discovered that there is no place like The Earth, and he is always tending to return back to Earth.

The Spherical Shape : This shape helps The Earth to look endless i.e a world without an end. It makes it looks like man is revolving in a circle, imagine if the earth were to be square or rectangular in shape, looking for the end point of the earth would have just been an easy task. If planet were to be in other shapes it would be easier for man to look for the earth exit. The earth spherical shape makes it look like man is being trapped, making the thought of leaving the earth unattainable.

The Gases : The three major gases Nitrogen, Oxygen and Carbondioxide is also one of the major reason why man is still trapped on earth. I’m sure if there were to be availability of this gases else where besides Earth, man would have been strategizing a means of exploring other planets too. With the Nitrogen fixing itself into the soil and also acting as a neutralizer of the over reactive oxygen. The Oxygen also is a major component in combustion and breaking down of nutrients in living organisms. And the Carbondioxide a vital resources for the plant and most organic compound found in earth. It is very impossible for any living organism including man to exist without these gases, meaning life itself is trapped inside the shores of Earth.

Nutrient : The richness and abundance of nutrient makes man and other living things inclinated to Earth, all living organisms including man lives for this. You find them moving from one place to the other to find nutrient for life sustenance. It is only in The Earth one can find nutrients, which still makes planet Earth the only abode of Man.

The Light : The Human race wouldn’t have survived without light, the eyes would have been made useless without it and hereby limiting exceedingly the activities of mankind which can lead to the extinction of life.

Water : Water acts as the borderline to land , man is not meant to inhabit in water naturally. But with the creation of highly sophisticated machines man can live only limited time in water. Water is also a very important component in the body of all living organisms including man, hereby making it impossible for man to live without it. The planet Earth is still the only place water is found

All these listed factors above makes planet Earth looks like a well planned place for the sustenance of life. So why destroying our only habitat, abode or home with unnecessary inventions, destroying the planet earth natural form and beauty with it. The continues sustenance of life in earth lies solely in the hands of you and I. So heal, protect and love the Earth because we got no other place to go as mankind, our race is forever trapped here.

WoW ! NASA tries space kits to engage kids in science and space

Making mini satellite dishes
that collect signals or building remote-controlled mini
Rovers such as the kind NASA has used on Mars are
the types of activities that could interest kids in
science, but their complexity can derail all but the
most enthusiastic hobbyist.
Now, NASA, the U.S. space agency, hopes it has found
a workaround through new space kits and a
collaboration with a New York-based startup called
LittleBits.
NASA, through its Aura mission to study the Earth’s
ozone layer and climate, is working with LittleBits to
develop activities around a new $189 space kit,
announced on Thursday.
Using electronic modules such as motors and
dimmers that snap together, the creations will
perform functions that normally might require hours
of tedious tinkering or piles of electronics
components.
The new kits are more demanding than playing with
snappable blocks like Legos, but far easier than
wiring, soldering or programming.
“You don’t have that frustration level,” said Steve
Heck, a 5th and 6th grade math and science teacher
at Mulberry Elementary in Ohio who says too many
students lose interest in science and space
experiments when the projects become too difficult.
“You’re going to get a much better student in the long
run.”
For NASA, the partnership has a more specific goal.
“From our perspective, it was to engage kids in how
NASA uses the electromagnetic spectrum,” said
Ginger Butcher, education and public outreach lead
for the Aura mission. “We can see how much ozone is
in the atmosphere. We can see features on Mars.”
NASA reached out to LittleBits after Butcher saw its
chief executive and founder, Ayah Bdeir, give a talk in
2012 about the company’s online modules and
decided they could be helpful for Aura’s educational
goals.
LittleBits is building and selling the kit while NASA is
developing the activities that go along with them.
NASA will not benefit financially from the sale of the
kits, Butcher said.
While the playthings are designed to stay earthbound,
a few lucky kids could see their creations end up in
space.
Working with a company called Xcor Aerospace, Heck
said he hopes to get 10 student projects onto a
suborbital flight in 2015. The students will be selected
through a contest, and Heck said he believes many
will submit LittleBits-based projects.
LittleBits says the kits will boost revenue as well as
the company’s missions of incorporating better design
into electronics and increasing familiarity with
electronics among the public.
“Not understanding electronics is a form of illiteracy,”
said CEO Bdeir. Her company is backed by venture-
capital firms including the Foundry Group, Khosla
Ventures and True Ventures.
It is unclear what demand may emerge for the kits –
Bdeir said she expects to sell tens of thousands – or if
they really will help children better understand the
electromagnetic spectrum or outer space.
They go on sale at a time when space-related issues
are increasingly coming into the public eye.
A few days ago, scientists announced they have found
an earthlike planet known as Kepler-186f.

WoW ! Kim and Kanye planning three wedding ceremonies

Aside

Kim K and and her third husband-to-be Kanye West
are planning not one, not two, but three wedding
ceremonies…

According to Radar Online the couple plan to have
two ceremonies in France and one in Southern
California for legal purposes. The Paris wedding date
is rumored to be May 24th.
A source tells
the couple’s lawyers
recommended they hold a civil ceremony in the
United States prior to their French nuptials on
May 24.
“Typically, the U.S. recognizes citizens getting
married in France, but dealing with a foreign
government and paperwork could be a
nightmare,” the insider explains. “So just to make
sure it’s legal, Kim and Kanye will first be having a
civil ceremony in Southern California.”
Next, the couple will cross the Atlantic for their
dream ceremony in Paris— and French law
dictates that there be two wedding ceremonies.

WoW ! More about Former Barcelona’s coach Tito Vilanova death at age of 45

Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova,
who has been battling cancer, has died at the age
of 45.
“FC Barcelona is in immense mourning,” the
Spanish club said in a statement. “Tito Vilanova
has died at the age of 45. May he rest in peace.”
Vilanova, who had first been diagnosed with a
cancerous tumor of the throat in November 2011,
stepped down as Barcelona coach in July 2013.
He succeeded Pep Guardiola, who is now Bayern
Munich coach, in June 2012 and led the Catalan
giants to the Spanish La Liga title during his time
in charge of the team.
Following the announcement of Vilanova’s death,
Barcelona said it would open an area of
condolence in the main grandstand at its Nou
Camp stadium.
“It will be open to anyone who wishes to express
their sympathy and love for the late Tito
Vilanova,” the club added.
“The club wishes to express its most
heartfelt sympathy to his family, who are
being joined in these moments of
mourning by FC Barcelona members and
fans all around the world, as well as the
rest of the footballing and sporting world.”
Barcelona also revealed plans for a religious
memorial ceremony in the coming days.
The club’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu said on
this Twitter page: “Tito Vilanova was a wonderful
person, and will never be forgotten at FC
Barcelona. Thank you for everything you taught
us. Rest in peace.”
Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas paid tribute on
his Facebook page saying he met Vilanova 14
years ago, adding: “Thank you for always trusting
me, to help me improve and overcome personal
and professional obstacles.”
There have been also tributes from the global
football community. Real Madrid defender Sergio
Ramos commented on Twitter that Vilanova was,
“An example of fighting and strength for all of us.
RIP”
Vilanova’s appointment after Guardiola’s
resignation came as something of a surprise to
football experts. He was not well known outside
Spain but was already a close member of the
Barcelona family.
He began his footballing career at the Catalan
club, signing to the team’s junior ranks as a 15-
year-old.
Unable to break into the Barcelona first team, he
left to pursue a career as a midfielder with seven
clubs in his native Spain before ending his playing
days with Gramenet in 2001.
A switch to management followed and Vilanova
soon returned to the Nou Camp, eventually
becoming Guardiola’s assistant coach in 2008
before being named as his successor.
In tandem, the pair won three La Liga titles and
two European Champions League crowns.

Vilanova’s Barcelona team, which included star
players such as Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta,
started the 2012/2013 campaign brilliantly.
But just months into his reign, Vilanova took a
temporary absence to undergo surgery followed
by a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in
New York.
He returned in March 2013 to lead Barcelona to
the league title which they won 15 points ahead of
rivals Real Madrid.
Club captain Carles Puyol stepped aside to allow
Vilanova and former Barca defender Eric Abidal,
who had been diagnosed with a liver tumor, to lift
the trophy.
A relapse of his condition in July last year saw
Vilanova resign as Barcelona coach. He was
replaced by Gerardo Martino.
The true potential of Vilanova’s tenure at
Barcelona will now remain unknown.

‘The Other Woman’ a dimwitted faux-
feminist comedy, reviews say
131
In the new revenge comedy “The Other Woman,”
Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton play a trio
of scorned women seeking to give their cheating
mutual beau ( Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) his
comeuppance. According to film critics, though, they
would have been better off directing their ire at the
movie itself, for its lazy cliches and pseudo-feminist
slant.

The Times’ Betsy Sharkey calls “The Other Woman”
the “quintessential anti-date movie” — ironic, as it’s
directed by Nick Cassavetes, who did “The Notebook”
— and says it’s “out of control and intent on running
down a certain kind of male.”
She continues, “Slyness, slapstick and sex can often
be mixed to amusing effect whatever the specifics —
the original ‘Hangover,’ for example, did a credible
job of it — but ‘The Other Woman’ is ultimately
undone by its indecision. … Eventually the getting
even and dumbing down gets tiresome. Somewhere
along the way, ‘The Other Woman’ forgets how to
have fun with a bad romance.”
BEST MOVIES OF 2013: Turan | Sharkey | Olsen
In a particularly scathing review, NPR’s Linda Holmes
describes the movie as “a conceptually odious,
stupid-to-the-bone enterprise” and “the most
grotesque pantomime of girl power.”
Holmes adds, “It may also occur to you just how bad
— how bad — it is that this is what we have to offer
Mann and Diaz, who show themselves in these
moments to be really able comic actresses: a story in
which they play idiots with no interests of any kind
except bickering over an utterly charmless man and
then satisfying themselves that giving him explosive
diarrhea and prominent nipples constitutes
satisfying revenge for his having apparently robbed
both of them of whatever souls and outside interests
they once possessed.”

Ty Burr of the Boston Globe agrees, writing, “‘The
Other Woman’ is one of those loud, cringe-y female-
empowerment comedies that feels like it was made
by people who hate women. It’s about a trio of
heroines who free themselves from their three-timing
man by obsessing about him constantly and plotting
revenge with laxatives in his cocktails and Nair in his
shampoo.” Burr adds, “It’s as though [the
filmmakers] conspired to come up with a movie
specifically designed to flunk the Bechdel Test: 109
minutes in which the women do nothing but talk
about a man.”
PHOTOS: Box office top 10 of 2013
The Washington Post’s Ann Hornaday calls “The
Other Woman” an “unpromising screenwriting
debut” for Melissa Stack that “seems to have been
cobbled together from any number of other, not
necessarily better, movies, resulting in a tonal mish-
mash of scatology, physically contorting pratfalls
and, only occasionally, genuinely observant
behavioral comedy.”
Stephen Holden of the New York Times also finds the
film overly familiar. He writes, “This female revenge
comedy is so dumb, lazy, clumsily assembled and
unoriginal, it could crush any actor forced to execute
its leaden slapstick gags and mouth its crude,
humorless dialogue.” Eventually, “‘The Other
Woman’ settles into being a rip-off of the infinitely
superior but still minor ‘First Wives Club.'”
Not every critic has panned the film. The San
Francisco Chronicle’s Mick LaSalle, for example, says
it’s “Far from a silly romance” and finds Mann “in her
deepest and funniest role to date.”
He continues, “Written on the knife edge between
farce and naturalism … it’s directed with precision
and balance by Nick Cassavetes and put over
expertly by the cast. The advertisements might look
dumb, but the movie isn’t.”

WoW ! Parks and Recreation Season 6 Finale Review: Call Me Kristen, ‘Cause I Am Wigging Out!

Most of Parks and Recreation’s sixth season focused
on the major changes in Leslie’s life, like being
recalled from the office she’d worked so hard to
reach, receiving a great offer for a new job in
Chicago, and discovering that she was pregnant with
triplets. And in that regard, “Moving Up” felt more
like a series finale than a season finale as it wrapped
up several ongoing storylines, including Leslie’s
career decision, the Unity Concert, and Tom’s new
restaurant venture. It also featured cameos from
almost everyone who’s ever appeared on the series,
and it was full of wonderful surprises—from a Li’l
Sebastian hologram to a Mouse Rat reunion to a
surprise appearance by Duke Silver to a cameo by
Jon Hamm. But perhaps the biggest shocker
came when the series jumped three years into the
future in the final moments of the episode, and
LESLIE HAD BANGS.
Oh yeah, there was also the bit about how she took
the job with the U.S. National Park Service, but
convinced her new boss to let her live and work in
Pawnee instead of Chicago (it’s a good thing Ron
spent so much time fixing up the third floor of City
Hall instead of, say, doing his actual job). Ben and
Leslie’s children are now toddlers, Ben has a fancy
new job (might it have something to do with
the Cones of Dunshire game, which
is apparently sweeping the nation?), and Jerry-Larry
is now named Terry. There were so many new things
thrown our way in that time jump that I barely had
time to appreciate Jon Hamm, whose character felt a
bit like a poor man’s Chris Traeger with his good
looks, positive attitude, and use of the word literally.
However, I don’t know that Hamm’s cameo—which
I’m glad the show kept a secret after announcing
literally every other guest-star—beats out Michelle
Obama’s cameo. Leslie’s reaction to meeting the
FLOTUS was actually more entertaining than
anything Lady Obama actually said or did, but it was
definitely a highlight of “Moving Up.”
If Parks and Recreation hadn’t already been
renewed for Season 7, “Moving Up” would’ve been a
perfect series finale. It had the series’
trademark heart and humor, in addition to a fake
concert that looked like so much fun that I
was actually upset it wasn’t a real event I could
attend. By the time Mouse Rat reunited and sang
“5,000 Candles in the Wind,” I was depressed that I’d
missed such a fabulous show. That was fake. And on
television. Which is why I think we should all relive it
right now:
Now that Parks and Rec has jumped forward in time
—a difficult thing to pull off, especially for a sitcom—
it has a fresh new canvas on which to paint what will
almost certainly be its final season. This is probably
for the best, because the show definitely started
to stall a bit in Season 6. Chris and Ann had a child
and moved to Ann Arbor, Tom grew up (a bit) and
become a (sometimes) savvy business man, and Ron
and Diane had a baby. I’ve loved spending time with
the truly wonderful and wacky people of Pawnee, but
their stories are obviously winding down a bit. By
skipping ahead three years, Parks and Rec has
created the perfect opportunity to regroup and craft
a true ending to this journey. I don’t know that the
real series finale will be able to top “Moving Up” in
terms of how it made me feel as a longtime fan, but
I’m willing to stick around to see what the writers can
come up with. Parks and Rec truly feels like
the comedic version of Friday Night Lights in the way
it tells stories about a community and makes me tear
up with embarrassing bouts of happiness, so I’m
really glad I don’t have to say goodbye to it just yet.

– “From now on, everyone call me Kristen, ’cause I
am wigging out.”
– “Obviously, we’re no Akron. I mean, we’re more like
Dayton. But with your help, we can become
Toledo.” (As a native Ohioan, I give this joke an A+.)
– “Moving Up” was brought to you by pizza: “You’re
so good at reminding me where pizza is.” Also: “We
lead the country in online pizza ordering.” And: “I
ordered a small cheeseburger and both the buns
were pizzas.”
– “Can you bring back Power Rangers? I don’t know
what you do, but you seem important enough to get
that done.”
– Joan’s signature drink is a tumbler full of gin with
aspirin sprinkled around the rim.
– The Quackson Five!
– I will probably never get tired of Jean-Ralphio.
Sorry, I’m not sorry.

WoW ! ‘Jem and the Holograms’ announces main cast led by Aubrey Peeples

“Nashville” actress Aubrey Peeples is taking her
musical skills to the big screen as Jem, the rock-star
lead of “Jem and the Holograms,” a live-action
adaptation of Hasbro’s popular 1980s animated
series.
Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau and Hayley Kiyoko,
who are also best known for their TV work, will play
the Holograms, Jem’s band.

When the project was announced last month,
producers said the movie would re-imagine Jem “for
a whole new generation, with themes of being true to
who you are in a multitasking, hyperlinked, social-
media age.”
True to that spirit, producers Chu, Jason Blum
( “Paranormal Activity,” “Insidious”) and music mogul
Scooter Braun posted a YouTube video asking fans to
contribute ideas, but not money, to the making of the
film.
“We want to invite you into our process and help us
make our next movie,” Chu said in the video. “From
writing music to designing costumes to even casting,
whatever it is, we want you to be part of our creative
team.”
The filmmakers then called upon fans to post images,
messages and videos online with ideas, or even their
own auditions, for the movie.
Yesterday, Chu revealed on Twitter that actor and
YouTuber Nathan Moore, who submitted an audition
video online, had been cast as the hired goon Zipper.

WoW ! Armenian genocide: Turkey has lost the battle of truth

“In actuality, how Turks and Armenians, as the
owners of this common history, can together,
through dialogue and empathy, reach a just memory
of the tragic events of 1915, which occurred during
the great human sufferings of World War I, is already
being examined thoroughly and in all its dimensions.
In this context, our proposal to establish a Joint
Historical Commission, also reflected in the Turkish-
Armenian Protocols, remains on the agenda.”
The quotation is from the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s
press release regarding the US Senate Foreign
Relations Committee’s recent resolution on the
Armenian genocide. In the wake of its centenary, this
is the uttermost point reached by the Turkish state in
the perception of the annihilation of the Ottoman
Empire’s Armenian citizens: A “just memory” and a
“joint historical commission”. The just memory is a
euphemism to recall revenge killings of Muslims in
some areas by Armenian avengers once their people
were decimated by the state and their neighbours.
And the commission is a sort of face-saver to equate
the pains.
In 2009 though, the above-mentioned Protocols came
as a brave project aiming at normalising Turkish-
Armenian relations. For the first time in almost a
century, it meant that the Turkish state took the
initiative to follow a different approach than the
eternal enmity based on the denial of the “genocide”.
Hopes were high for a new era. However in the final
tally, Turkey’s superior energy needs and the
overwhelming nationalist rhetoric forced the state to
choose Armenia’s arch-enemy, the Turkish-speaking
and oil-rich Azerbaijan and to revert to its traditional
policy over normalising relations with Armenia. So
came to a grinding close Turkey’s first innovative
Armenia policy before it even began.
The Azeri factor
Before the Protocols, Azerbaijan was asking for a
clear reference in the text to the solution of the
Karabakh stalemate which didn’t occur. But following
the failure of the Protocols, the Azeri factor emerged
compellingly on the Turkish political and public
scenes. Now it is the determinant in Turkey’s
Armenia and Armenian policy overall.
Today, three patterns emerge in Turkey’s traditional
policy towards the events of 1915. First, denialist
lobbying activities abroad and efforts to influence the
lawmakers, especially in the US are now co-
sponsored by Azeris. Secondly, denials cloaked in
scientific covers aimed at persuading the Western
academic world have become prominent, replacing
the vulgar denialism. And thirdly, there is a clear
attempt to substitute other events for 1915.
Dardanelles battle victory in the west and the
military debacle of Sarikamis in the east, are being
flogged in the official narrative as the historical
substitutes to what occurred to Armenians in 1915.
Despite these endeavours, Turkey has long lost the
battle of truth. The destruction of the Armenian
population on its ancestral land is a sheer fact,
whatever else you might call it.
April 24, 1915 was the dark day when the decision to
erase Armenians from Anatolia began to be
implemented by the Ottoman government of Young
Turks, or the Ittihadists. The rationale behind it was
to engineer a homogeneous population composed of
Muslims designated to form the backbone of the “yet
to be invented” Turkish nation. Thus, there was no
place for Christian populations despite their historic
presence on those lands.
According to the report commissioned in May 1919
by the Ottoman government that came to power in
1918 after the demise of the Young Turks, the
number of Armenian citizens who had lost their lives
was 800,000. A book published in 1928 by the
Turkish General Staff detailing losses during World
War I notes: “800,000 Armenians and 200,000
Greeks died as a result of massacres, forced
relocations and forced labour.”
When one adds those who died after 1918 in the
Caucasus region due to hunger, illness and
massacres, the figure surpasses one million. The
“cleansing” work of Ittihadists was completed by
Kemalists by obliging those throughout Anatolia
whose lives were spared to take shelter in Istanbul
and simultaneously by suppressing their places of
worship and schools throughout Anatolia.
In Turkey, thorough knowledge of what really
happened and the consequences of the countrywide
disaster is cruelly lacking. The memory was
scrupulously distorted and minimised by the state.
For the sake of comparison, there is over 26,000
volumes published abroad on the genocide against
less than 20 serious accounts in Turkey.
No one is capable of evaluating the consequences to
human, political and economic relations throughout
Anatolia once the Armenians were eliminated. It is,
however, quite certain that the effects of such a
wide-reaching elimination operation were enormous.
Denialist paradigm vs empowered society
Today, there is an ever growing awareness regarding
the bad as well as the good memory. Public actions,
perhaps not so numerous, but certainly momentous,
are building up at all levels. So far unhampered by
the authorities, they primarily rely on voluntary
citizens’ initiatives. These memory works take place
in four major areas: academia and publishing;
individual and collective memory search; public
awareness and visibility; religious and cultural
discovery.
Regarding academic interest, following pioneering
publishers, many publishing houses now produce
works in connection with the painful memory, but
also in relation to the rich cosmopolitan past of the
Ottoman Empire.
On the individual and collective memory search,
many people proudly seek, discover or rediscover
ancestors of non-Muslim origin in their families.
Public awareness and visibility is growing by the day.
Non-Muslims literally discover themselves and are
“discovered” by the society.Since 2010, April 24 is
commemorated in more and more cities. Moreover,
accounts on righteous people who saved their
neighbours’ lives, descendants of Armenians who
had to convert to Islam to save their lives are made
public.
On religious and cultural area, remnants of
monuments that survived are painstakingly taken
care of, masses are celebrated again in Anatolia and
the cultural heritage is dealt with.
It should be noted that the emergence of this process
wasn’t due exclusively to the external push and the
government’s early reformism. The society has paid a
substantial price for it, probably symbolised by the
murder of Armenian Turkish journalist Hrant Dink.
Social maturation and empowerment is Turkey’s key
to facing the challenges of the aching past.
Thus, even the slow and lengthy process –
understandably forcing the limits of one’s patience
waiting for a due recognition of century-old crimes –
in the development of policies growing out of a
painstaking, yet convulsive societal recollection, is a
healthy and perennial endeavour.
The genie is out of the bottle. When and how it will
affect state policy is difficult to predict. But the
civilian activism and awareness remains the sole
sustainable asset before any normalisation of
relations. Although the road for civil activism is
mostly clear, the ‘state highway’ is much obstructed
by structural roadblocks.
