Basketball legend Michael Jordan now a billionaire

The latest Billionaires List Forbes magazine released today, 290 newcomers joined the list, the list included basketball great, Michael Jordan, 52. He’s now the 513th-richest person in the US with a net worth of an even $1.0 billion. Forbes report below:

Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player of all time and indisputably the best-paid athlete of all time. Most of his cash comes from
Nike payouts on his iconic brand. The Jordan brand grossed an estimated $2.25 billion in 2013, earning his Airness some $90m.

But his most valuable asset is his stake in the Charlotte Hornets, worth more than $500m. When ex- Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer bought the Los Angeles Clippers for a stunning $2 billion, values of all NBA teams skyrocketed, creating three new billionaires. Jordan’s old boss Jerry
Reinsdorf, owner of the Chicago Bulls, joined the list with a fortune of $1.3 billion, and Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander boosted his net worth to $1.6 billion.

Brownstone singer died in common accident at home, killed by a wine glass

Charmayne ‘Maxee’ Maxwell of popular 90s girl group, Brownstone, passed away on Feb. 27th her home, the cause of her death was initially unknown

TMZ is reports that the 46 year old singer fell and cut herself on a wine glass. Report below…

R&B singer Charmayne Maxwell ‘s death in her home appears to be an almost one in a million accident, and nothing sinister … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us detectives combed the scene where the ex-Brownstone singer fell on Friday evening — and say all evidence points to her falling backward at the
doorway between the house and the back patio … while holding a wine glass.

We’re told during the fall … the wine glass shattered on the ground behind Maxwell’s head, and when she landed shards of glass punctured the back of her neck in two places. We’re told
there was an injury to the back of her head, and it’s possible she was knocked unconscious.

TMZ broke the story … Charmayne’s husband Carsten Soulshock came home and found her bleeding around 9 PM Friday. We’re told cops interviewed him and several other family members … and say there’s no history of domestic violence. They do not suspect foul play.

The one remaining mystery is what caused the fall — and we’re told one theory is she was intoxicated. The coroner now has her body, and
will conduct an autopsy and toxicology test which could answer that question.
